This morning a Rottweiler attacked my dog and husband at the Bradfordville dog park. My husband was able to protect our dog, but other the dog attacked him and pushed him into a fence. My husband grabbed the dog’s collar so it couldn’t bite him and to bring him to the owner who was just standing by watching this all unfold. The owner yelled at him not to touch his dog, and “what do you expect when he comes to a dog park”. My husband is a regular at that park and goes nearly everyday and nothing like this has ever happened. I’m not sure if that guy will be back, he left immediately after the attack.

While he doesn’t have any bites, my husband is covered in scratches, rolled his ankle, and hurt his lower back, which is especially unfortunate since he has had back surgery twice. Our dog is fortunately ok, no bites or scratches.

We have encountered lots of rowdy pups at the park but never any that were vicious.
