I’m a 27F international student planning to do a PhD in the US. I currently have an option to choose either Tampa or Tallahassee as my supervisors are collaborators. Both are really great supervisors, so my decision largely depends on where I would be enrolled in.

I like Tallahassee for its wilderness and outdoor stuff you can do there, like hiking, herping, biking etc. I’ve also heard that the cost of living is quite a bit lower there. At the same time, I’d really like to meet new people, date, and experience different cultures, and from what I’ve heard, Tampa might be better for that.
