The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce has launched a new platform called TLH Vision, giving residents a way to share their priorities and help shape the future of the community.

Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce launches TLH Vision platform for community input
The platform is part of the chamber’s larger efforts to build Tallahassee’s digital infrastructure and eventually turn community visions into potential action plans, according to Chair Eddie Gonzalez Loumiet.
“We’ve got different ideas floating, but there really isn’t a vision for our community moving forward. So we said Ok, really it shouldn’t be one organization determining what the vision for our community should be. It should be a community experience, Gonzalez Loumiet said.
Neighbors can enter their vision directly or select words and priorities to help create one. The website then compiles each submission by area code, themes, and community roles.
So far, the platform has received about 36 responses from Northeast Tallahassee zip codes.
The most common themes have centered on jobs and economic opportunity, small businesses, and placemaking.
Gonzalez Loumiet says the goal is to use that input to guide the community going forward.
“Imagine starting the year with a common vision for our community that guides us in terms of the things that we try to do to help us when it comes to quality-of-life economic prosperity and things of that nature,” Gonzalez Loumiet said.
Tammy Pulsifer, the director of church and community engagement for Safe Families for Children North Florida, says the platform gives residents like her a seat at the table.
Her vision for Tallahassee centers on stronger community connection.
“The biggest one is justbeginning to see this community really grow where they’re linking hands instead of being so far across the aisle from each other, Pulsifer said. I would love it if volunteers and agencies and people that are doing their best to serve the most vulnerable in our community could really look to their left and their right and see those resources,” Pulsifer said.
She said she believes the platform’s impact will grow over time.
“It’s definitely a very simple, but I think, very profound idea, she said. I think just very soon that thing is going to grow, and we’re going to really see the benefit of bringing these voices together in Tallahassee.
Gonzalez Loumiet says he hopes to find a common community vision by 2027 to help guide next steps.
