2026 Midterm Election Thread – Please Use This Thread for Election Day Discussion

Just a quick reminder that we do not allow posts/comments actively endorsing candidates. These will be removed and you may receive a free vacation, it’s like a buy one get one free!

Good morning, everybody! Today is officially Election Day for the 2026 Midterm elections, as well as Florida’s Cabinet races, Tallahassee’s city commission and mayoral races, and everything else on the ballot. You’ve made it this far and (hopefully) tonight we will know the election results.

Feel free to use this thread to discuss your voting experiences, hope/optimism/misery/etc. about the election, discussion of what you’re doing instead of watching the results (if applicable), all that stuff.

But if you haven’t voted yet, here’s some important information:

Where to Vote on Election Day

Heads up: Some precincts may have changed locations since the 2024 election. Make sure you know where your precinct is before heading out on Election Day!

If you prefer to vote on Election Day on November 3, you can certainly do so. Polls are open from 7am-7pm at each voting precinct. If you are in line by 7pm, you are allowed to vote, regardless of what time your turn to vote may occur. Remember: if you’re in line by 7, stay in line to vote!

You can verify your voting precinct on your voter registration card that the County’s Supervisor of Elections office mailed to you, or online at LeonVotes.gov. On Election Day, this is typically the only location where you are allowed to vote.

You will need a valid form of ID that shows your picture and your signature to vote at your precinct. Emergency voting on Election Day allows you to vote at the Supervisor of Election’s office on Apalachee Parkway from 7am-7pm.
