After the closure of Tiffin Box, a fast casual Indian spot, last March, owner Anesh Bodasing was not ready to give up on the food business.

Bodasing got together with his business partner Taylor Levy and wondered what would help them cater to college students in Tallahassee. They then came up with the idea to found 2 Clucks.

2 Clucks is a chicken, burger and shake spot located in the heart of College Town at 799 W Gaines St.

Since opening in August, Bodasing and Levy have aimed to bring something new to college students just minutes away from their apartments.

“There’s 4 things that college kids eat: fried chicken, burgers, tacos and pizza,” said Bodasing.

The 2 Clucks menu features a variety of items such as chicken sandwiches, smash burgers, chicken tenders and specialty shakes.

Bodasing’s favorite item is the smash’d ground clucker which features all-natural ground chicken, smashed onions, American cheese, house pickles and cluck sauce on a toasted bun.

“I tell everyone get the smashed ground chicken burger,” said Bodasing. “You know because you can’t get that anywhere else.”

Bryn Mihelich, Paige Noonan and Mia Cantilo the faces behind Tik Tok page @brynpaigemiaeats, originally reviewed Tiffin Box on their food page and just happened to stumble upon 2 Clucks. Their review on 2 Clucks received 18.4 thousand views and 1,539 likes on Tik Tok.

“Walking back from a game, [we were] like this would be the perfect spot to come get a treat with friends, and like they were pretty quick,” said Mihelich.

The food is not the only thing 2 Clucks brings to cater to their largely 18–22-year-old customer base.

Their hours also draw students who are just looking for some late-night food.

“So, we’re open till midnight, Sunday through Thursday, and then [on] Friday[and]  Saturday we’re open till 2 a.m.,”Bodasing said.“It’s a great success because the kids, the kids want a greasy burger or some chicken and fries after coming home from the bars and stuff.”

Since its opening, 2 Clucks has been a great success.

Former Tiffin Box worker and current general manager at 2 Clucks Jaquan Facey says it has been a complete 180. “At Tiffin Box a busy day would be us doing maybe 60 tickets, here we broke 9000 just on the first college gameday,” said Facey.

2 Clucks is open on Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
