The idea is great: a massive consignment sale of kids stuff so parents can save money. Except the prices on so many items is ludicrous: a disgustingly dirty stroller with missing pieces marked for $300 when the same one brand new is $200. An open pack of ~20 diapers marked for $10. Ripped and severely stained and worn kids clothes from Walmart marked substantially above retail at Walmart. No, Brenda, your very pilled, stained, and ripped Old Navy baby pants are not worth $12. Kids potties that are, frankly, disgusting and unsanitary.
And don’t even get me started on how many recalled items were illegally being sold— if it’s been recalled for safety reasons, don’t sell or donate them!!!!
Sellers have to pay them a portion of their profit for overhead, which makes sense, but this org never hires enough staff so you’re stuck in line for 30+ minutes trying to buy, only to have them charge you 3% for credit cards.
I’ve gone to these community kids consignment sales in other cities and they’re not like this, so I’m confused why the one here is so bad.
