Hello Tallahassee! As promised, I’m back a day later with an additional, super-duper hard landmark to identify. I’m going to leave it up for a day to allow for lots of guesses, then name the first person to get it correct.

It’s time to see how much you actually see when you are traveling around Tallahassee.

This chunk of wood has been suspended in a power line for at least three years. The larger picture is from this month, the inset from Google Maps, April 2023.

How does the wood stay up, when so many storms and light gusts have bested Tallahassee’s strongest power lines?

Is it a balancing act?

Did the tree grow around the line.
