Hello all I wanted to say thank you all for your immense support and encouragement. You all reminded me that it’s okay to ask for help and that there’s always a community out there. I wanted to give you all an update since my last post.

For starters, I wasn’t aware about the rule against posting gofundme accounts so my last post got deleted. Thankfully I’m still able to go back on it and look at the resources you’ve all provided. Secondly, yesterday I requested a day off from my rotations in order to go to these places in person and gather more information as well as make phone calls, send emails, and try my usual side hustles to gain extra income.

I spent, more like wasted, half the day on FAMU campus (I started at 9am) to try and get some type of support but was met with “sorry there’s nothing we can do. Hang in there” by pretty much every department I talked to. I was able to get some food from the pantry so I guess that’s good.

Because of the failure that was asking for help from my school, I missed out of going to other locations to ask questions because they all either had closed or required an intake process that I couldn’t attend.

I tried doordashing but the market sucks and even instacart but I left the app after letting it sit for 10 minutes without any offers.

Despite all the negative, thank you to the person who suggested Shift-smart. I’ve started picking up shifts and it’s been a life saver. I also got a lot of unexpected support on my GFM so I feel better about at least surviving this month.

I’ll take things one step at a time and continue to try and look forward. Thank you all again! My gratitude is immense!
