Midtown has changed a lot over the last few years.

I know it’s been ever-changing for years, but Vino Beano, Waterworks and Over Under have closed in the sameish time window. And I would consider the transition of El Concinero into Links the loss of a bar as well. A lot of bar loss in a 50-yard area.

Despite there being less options, I’ve felt like the remaining bars have overall been less busy over the last year in Midtown compared to a couple years ago — a personal observation, not a scientific analysis, so I could be wrong.

What’s going on here? And what might Midtown look like in a few more years?
