Hello! I’m looking for a local small artist that I could commission a pet portrait from. Below is more info:

-Dog portrait
-Relatively small size, not looking for anything huge. At most the most a size of a sheet of paper.
-Not a full body painting, just head & neck area w/simple painted background (doesn’t have to be scenery in the back, just something to fill dead space on canvas even if it’s just painted a color)
-Not hyper realistic
-Painting preferable, but open to looking into other mediums

Are there any local artists you would recommend/are YOU a local artist that does pet portraits? I’d like to see a few references for something similar that the artist has done, if possible, since this is a gift for a friend who recently lost her dog and I want to make sure it matches what I’m looking for well.

I plan on going to the farmers market this weekend because I know there are sometimes artists there, but I figured here would be a good place to ask.

Also, not sure if there are any commercial places that do things like this, but if so please refrain from recommending them, I want to specifically commission and support a local artist in Tallahassee/surrounding area and not a commercial business. Thank you!
