I keep hearing about budget shortfall and the need to cut spending across county expenses/ services. I had previously thought this was related to the property tax cut (amendment 3) but that wouldn’t be voted on until November.

For this afternoons County Commish meeting I think they’re talking about lay offs because of a budget shortfall. In that case all of this seems to be conditional. Am I completely mistaken about this? Am I a fool? A rapscallion even?

Tl:Dr; Can someone explain to me what the shortfall is if it is NOT related to property taxes??
