I’ve lived in Tallahassee for about 8 years and I’ve been summoned 4-5 times.

They say it’s a random process but I can’t help but feel targeted when many others I know have never been summoned or only summoned once in over 10 years.

As much as I’d like to just accept the civic duty it causes a good amount of issues as I’m the only full time worker for a very small company. I also don’t get PTO and finances are always pretty tight, so I just have to eat the lost wages.

Any insight in the disparity between why I’m being summoned every year or two? It doesn’t seem normal.
