I am a transgender woman living in Tallahassee who uses Capital Health Plan insurance. My insurance does cover my hormonal medication, which I am grateful for. I would now like to start investigating surgical options, but I’m not sure where to get started. Does anyone know if CHP covers gender affirming surgeries, or of their are any trans-friendly plastic surgeons in Tallahassee?

Really just looking for any advice on how to navigate this process. I asked my PCP and she didn’t know, so know I’m reaching out to the collective wisdom of Reddit. Appreciate any advice you can provide! Thanks!
