My wife and I are looking to do a quit claim deed to add my name to the deed. Right now only her name is on the deed as she was the one who originally applied for the loan. We refinanced during COVID with both of our names on the loan. We didn’t realize at the time that doing that doesn’t automatically add me to the deed.

The mortgage was paid off last year and she would like to add my name to the the deed so that I won’t run into any issues if something were to happen to her.

Any recommendations for lawyers who would be able to draft it for us? Also, does anyone happen to know how much a lawyer would generally charge for this? Thanks!
