Tallahassee Ballet presents Coppélia at Ruby Diamond. A charming comedic ballet that will enchant the whole family. In a small European village, the young couple, Franz and Swanhilda have become engaged. However, the beautiful, mysterious girl sitting on the balcony of the eccentric inventor Dr. Coppelius’s house has captivated Franz. Little does he realize she is a doll that the inventor is trying to bring to life. The feisty Swanhilda and her friends are determined to discover the secret behind the mysterious Coppélia and sneak into the Doctor’s workshop. After a little mischief and a case of mistaken identity this charming, family-friendly ballet finds a joyful ending as love triumphs over all. Perfromend with a live orchestra at Ruby Diamond Concert hall makes this an exciting event for Mothers Day Weekend! Saturday 10:30am (abbreviated performance), Sat at 7:30pm and Sun at 2:30pm, both with full orchestra.

For this month’s offering we are proud to bring you the low rent 1985 sci-fi action film ALIEN OUTLAW starring none other than silver screen legend Lash LaRue! Synopsis: Aliens have landed! And these aliens hunt…for sport! When a UFO crash lands in the Appalachian back country, it releases a squad of interstellar predators, playing The Most Dangerous Game with any Earthlings who cross their path. But these alien outlaws encounter unexpected resistance in the form of a gun-toting blonde (Kari Anderson) and her mentor (Western legend Lash La Rue). Phil Smoot’s second creature feature (following The Dark Power) is both a clever send-up of the 1950s rubber-suit monster genre, and a loving homage to the 1940s B Western (with a special appearance by Sunset Carson). Photographed by Paul Hughen (The Book of Boba Fett). 9pm/free
