Florida A&M University Athletics is set for a busy week of competition, with several teams gearing up for conference and non-conference play. Here’s a look at what’s ahead.
FAMU Men’s Basketball
The men’s basketball team lost their third straight game on the road against Alabama State 79-66. The loss comes after the Rattlers led 35-29 going into the half and after a loss to Alabama A&M on Saturday.
FAMU will look to right the ship as they return home to Al Lawson Center on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. to take on Texas Southern.
Tickets for Saturday’s game are available online through Ticketmaster and are free for students with a valid Rattler Card.
FAMU Women’s Basketball
Women’s basketball will be back at home this week after falling 75-64 to Alabama State on Thursday and 63-50 against Alabama A&M on Saturday. The Rattlers will take on Prairie View A&M on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. before facing Texas Southern on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. Both contests will be at home in the Al Lawson Center.
Tickets are available online through Ticketmaster and are free for students with a valid Rattler Card.
FAMU Bowling
The bowling team is headed to Huntsville, Alabama, for SWAC Round Up 2, taking place Feb. 6-8. Supporters can watch live on YouTube via the FAMU Women’s Bowling channel.
FAMU Softball
FAMU softball will open their 2026 season with a doubleheader at the Campbell University Tournament in Buies Creek, North Carolina, this weekend. The Rattlers will take on Howard on Friday, Feb. 6 at 12:30 p.m and Campbell University at 6:30 p.m.
FAMU Track and Field
FAMU Track and Field heads to Chicago to compete in the Windy City Innovational, taking place on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7. Fans can track the live events here.
FAMU Tennis
The tennis team will be in Orlando on Saturday, Feb. 7 to take on Edward Waters College at 11 a.m. They will then travel to Statesboro, Georgia to take on Stetson on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.
