Looking for opinions and recommendations of good head shops in the area.
I know there are a load of them, but I want to find one where the glass work isn't cheaply made and easily breakable.
I believe this has to do with the amount of pyrex in the pieces? Also looking for that solution to clean out the pieces with.
Anyway, just quality, friendly, unique head shops!
Thanks ![]()

Does anyone have some good or bad things to say about veterinarians in this area?
I need to take my cat to the vet and I am new to the area.
My last vet was relatively cheaper than most and also incredibly friendly, so I hope to find something similar here!
I would really appreciate a nudge in the right direction. Thanks for reading!

Two questions: I may be travelling to Tallahassee. I’ve searched online but haven’t been able to find a hostel. Is there any inexpensive lodging in Tal? Like 30 dollars a night in a dorm. Also, does the political climate in Tal tend to run conservative or liberal?

I have a very old and possibly very valuable book I am looking to sell. I know that the paperback rack will buy it, but I want to get something of what it’s worth.
Anyone have experience with pawn shops or any of the estate buyer places in the mall and know where my best bet is?

Hello, Tallahassee!
Looking for a dog-friendly restaurant… I know an Applebee’s around here allows dogs, but I would prefer to avoid going there… any other ideas?
Thanks!! :]

Thank you all for your suggestions on dog-friendly restaurants.
Now I’m looking for somewhere to practice yoga.
- My companion and I are beginners.
- We prefer evening class times.
- Bonus points if the classes tend to be markedly co-ed.
Any recommendations?

I wanted some idea of the kid stuff that goes on in Tallahassee. I’ve been out of the scene for a while. I used to take my son to the Library for story time but now I don’t even remember when that was. Help?
He’s just over 2 and a half.
Thanks so much.
Playgroups, story times, puppet shows, anything.

Ok. I need help.
I have a very important date with my boyfriend after not seeing him for a few weeks and I want it to be someplace nice, quiet, romantic, and where we can dress up.
Expensiveish is fine, I need good references and an approximate price range.

For sale here is a Fender M 80 solid state guitar amplifier. It’s the nice gray carpeted version with all the original red knobs. The numbers on the back for the electrically inclined: 120 v / ~60 hz / 300 watts.
In addition to looking hot and being fuzzy, this amp has a lot of great features:
- clean channel with treble, mid and bass adjustments
- overdrive channel with gain, contour and presence adjustments
- reverb (it’s a pretty nice reverb, too)
- 2 inputs
- foot switch input for channel selection
- effects loop inputs
- headphone jack
- external speaker jack
The headphone jack is is great, you don’t always see them on amps this size. This means you can practice quiet as a mouse in your apartment. But this amp can also be LOUD LOUD LOUD! You will be both the quietest and the loudest guitarist on the block. I played through this at Club Downunder and filled up the room quite nicely.
Why am I getting rid of such a fabulous amp? I’ve had it for years and it’s never done me wrong, I paid $300 for it back in the day. But I don’t play as the main guitarist in a band anymore, so I don’t need MASSIVE BALLS. I do need money, however. I’d like $250 but I’m willing to take offers. I figure buying online with shipping would be about $50, and the footswitch goes for about $40, so buying it local will save you some money. Also, if you would like to bring your guitar of choice over and try this baby out, you most definitely can do so before purchase.
